Three iron rods of length 24 length metre 32 and 56 metre long have to be divided into pieces of same length .what is is the greatest possible length of each rod?

Hcf of the three numbers
That is 8 metre long
So each piece will be 8 metre long
The left over rod will be
24= 24- (8 + 8 + 8) so no rod left
32= 32- (8 + 8 + 8) so 8m long rod left
56= 56- (8 + 8 + 8) so 32m left
