Let :

  • A = Acetic acid
  • B = Sodium hydroxide
  • C = Sodium chloride

Important point :

China rose indicator turns.

  • Magenta - When solution is acidic
  • Green - When solution is basic
  • No change - When solution is neutral

Solution :

We will add each of liquid to china rise indicator and will look for colour change.

  • As acetic acid is acid it will change colour to Magenta
  • Sodium hydroxide being basic will change into green
  • Sodium chloride is neutral and hence will show no color change.

Therefore by observing colour change we can identify solution.
