Mostly u can calculate by urself easily. the molecular mass of methane is 16.04246g/mol. you can calculate the mass of any compound like for methane. the carbon mass is near about 12 g/mol and hydrogen mass is 1 near about this .so methane formula is CH4 means C-H there are total 4 bonds between C and H atom

so add carbon mass with H mass = 12 + 1 * 4 ( as 4 atoms of H ) g/mol

so the answer is = 12+4 = 16 g/mol which is also write as it is near the 16.04 as approx.

So in approx, it is 16g/mol .Never forget S.I unit to write.
