Answer:

Three measuring rods are 45 cm, 50 cm, and 75 cm in length. What is the least length in metres of a rope that can be measured by the full length of each of these three rods?

Lengths of the three measuring rods are 45cm, 50cm, 75cm.

We have to find LCM of 45 , 50, 75 by prime factorization method :

45 = 3 × 3 × 5

50 = 2 × 5 × 5

75 = 3 × 5 × 5

Therefore, LCM (45 , 50 , 75)

= 5 × 2 × 3 × 3 × 5

= 450

Ans) Least length of the rope that can be measured by full length of three rods is 450 cm or 4.50 meters.

Hope this is helpful for you.
