Three metal cubes with edges 6cm 8cm and 10cm respectively are melted together and formed into single cube.Find the side of resultant cude

equate the sum of volume of the initial three cubes to the final volume of large cube

${6}^{3} + {8}^{3} + {10}^{3} = {a}^{3}$

say a is side of the final cube

on calculation a comes out to be 12 cm

volume of all three cubes = volume of new cube...

then a^3 + b^3 + c^3 = n^3

then...

6^3+8^3+10^3= 1728 = n^3

then n =

$\sqrt{1728}$ = 12
