three numbers are in the ratio 1:2:3 and their HCF is 6,what are these numbers? please explain it.

Just follow the same method while we the HCF of any number.

Let the multiple of these numbers be x


then 1x(x)=1×x,


2(2x)=2×x,


3(3x)=3×x



In this the HCF is x


And the HCF of the numbers is 6(given)

So x=6

The numbers are:—


x=6–first no.

2x=2×6=12–second no.

3x=3×6=18–third no.
