The net gravitational force at the centre object due to the other two will be zero.

Given:

The mass of each object = 40kg

Distance between the objects = 50 cm

The objects are arranged in a straight line.

To Find:

The net gravitational force at the centre object is due to the other two.

Solution:

Let us consider the three objects are A, B and C.

The gravitational force between A and B is F_1= G\frac{40^{2} }{50^{2} }

The gravitational force between B and C is F_2= G\frac{40^{2} }{50^{2} }

Here we can see F_1=F_2

Both the forces acting are in the opposite direction.

Hence, The net gravitational force at the centre object due to the other two will be zero.
