Three primary components of information technology are?

Three primary components are:

Hardware, Software and Data.

Explanation:

There are 3 main components of information technology, hardware software and data. These three are the most important components of information technology.

The first component hardware is that part of the information technology that is in physical form. We can touch it and mold it into different physical structures.

Hardware is in the form of computer monitor, keyboard, mouse, disk drive, flash drive, stylus pen etc. All these components together form a complete computer system.

Software is another component of information technology. It is not a physical component but can be experienced. Software is a set of instructions, which are developed in the form of a program, and are made to operate the hardware. Hardware has no value without software. The hardware is operated by the software itself.

The third component of information technology is data. Hardware and software make up an information technology system. But the continuous operation of this system requires data.

Where as hardware and software are created and used once, they do not need to be created again and again, whereas data is a continuous component, and as long as there is a system works in information technology, data continues to be created.
