Given:

Three qualities of sugar costing Rs.22/kg,Rs.25/kg,and Rs.30/kg are mixed in the ratio 1:2:3 respectively

To find:

The cost of the resultant mixture per kg

Solution:

Let us take the ratio of the sugar as the weight of the sugar

so the weight of the sugar A = 1 kg

the weight of the sugar B = 2 kg

the weight of the sugar C = 3kg

So,

the total cost of the sugar A = ₹22

the total cost of the sugar B = ₹50

the total cost of the sugar C = ₹90

then,

the total cost of the resultant mixture will be ₹162

and the weight of the resultant mixture will be 6 kg

so the price of the mixture is given by;

₹162/6

₹27

The cost of the resultant mixture per kg is ₹27
