Concept:

Rational number is a number which can be presented as p/q form where q is not equal to 0 and p and q are integers.

In other words, decimal numbers which has an end is rational numbers.

Given:

Given numbers are 2.2 and 2.3.

Find:

Three rational numbers lies between above two numbers.

Solution:

Given two numbers are 2.2 and 2.3

One rational number in between 2.2 and 2.3 = (2.2+2.3)/2 = 2.25

Rational number between 2.2 and 2.25 = (2.2+2.25)/2 = 4.45/2 = 2.225

Rational number between 2.25 and 2.3 = (2.25+2.3)/2 = 4.55/2 = 2.275

Now, 2.225, 2.25, 2.275 all three lie between 2.2 and 2.3.

Hence three rational numbers between 2.2 and 2.3 are given by 2.225, 2.25 and 2.275.
