three reasons why healthy plant will die after coating the leaf with vaseline

If we coat the leaf of a healthy plant with Vaseline , it will die because :

1. The pores of the leaf will get blocked which will stop the intake of Carbon Dioxide for the process of photosynthesis

2. The transpiration process will stop and also the evaporation will be stopped from the leaf

3. The suction of water and other minerals from the roots will stop as one of the causes of transportation of food and suction (capillary action in the xylem and phloem) is the vacuum caused due to transpiration and vaporization .

Stopping of these process are enough for the dying of a healthy plant.
