Given Three resistances each of 5 ohm are connected to form a triangle.calculate the resistance between two ends of any arm

here the resistors are connected to form an equilateral triangle. The third resistor is connected in parallel, while the other two are in series

So for series we have R1 + R2 = 5 + 5 = 10 ohm

Now we calculate the resistance for the two corners of the triangle by

1 / R parallel = 1/R1 + 1/R2

1/R Parallel = 1/10 + 1/5

1/R Parallel = 1 + 2 / 10

1/R Parallel = 3 / 10

Two ends of the arm is given by

R = 10 / 3 ohms = 3.33 ohms
