The value of R = 1 ohm

Given:

Three resistor 4 ohm 3 ohm R are and an ammeter connected in series to a cell of PD 2 volt.

Reading of ammeter is 0.25.

To find:

The value of R.

Formula used:

Ohms law: V = I × R

Where I = current

           R = Equavalint Resistance

Explanation:

Reading of ammeter is 0.25. That is I = current = 0.25 A

When resister connected in series

Equavalint resistance = Sum of all resistance

                                    = 3 + 4 + R = 7+R

By using Ohms law: V = I × R

                                 2 = 0.25 × (7+R)

                                8 = (7+R)

                               R = 8-7 = 1 ohm

The value of R = 1 ohm
