Three resistors of resistances 5 ohm, 3 ohm and 2 ohm are connected in series with 10 V battery.

Calculate their effective resistance and the current flowing through the circuit.​

In series total effective resistance is direct sum of resistors

R = R1 + R2 + R3

R = 5+3+2

R = 10 ohm

So, effective resistance is 10 ohm

Current flowing I = V/R

= 10/10

= 1 Ampere

Thus current flowing through circuit is 1 Ampere

Always remember, In series the current is same only voltage differs
