We know that if three resistance R1, R2 and R3 are connected in series , Then their equivalent resistance,
R = R1 + R2 + R3
So,
As given in question
R1 = 2ohm
R2 = 4ohm
R3 = 6ohm
Hence,
Equivalent resistance,
R = R1 + R2 + R3

R= (2+4+6)ohm

R = 12ohm

Note:-
if three resistance R1, R2 and R3 are connected in Parallel , Then their equivalent resistance,
1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3
