Three steps taken by government of Sri Lanka to achieve majoritarianism we're:-

✓The act of 1956 was a major step for achieving majoritarianism. It included :-

1.It recognised Sinhala as the only official language disregarding Tamil.
2.It provided that state shall protect and foster Buddhism.

✓The government also gave more preffence to Sinhala applicants for state jobs and institutions.

✓Also government policies denied them their equal rights and ignored their interest.
