Three taps a,b and c together can fill anempty cistern in 12 minutes .The tap a alone can fill it in 36 minutes and the tap b alone can fill it in 48 minutes .How long will the tap c alone take to fill it?

part of cistern filled by taps A,B and C in 1 minute =1/12

part of the cistern filled by taps A and B in one minute=1/36+1/48

=4+3/144=7/144

part of the cistern filled by tap C in 1 minute=1/12-7/144

=12-7/144=5/144
