Three test tubes (1,2,3) contain China rose solution that was pink in colour. On addition of two drops of solution 'A' to test tube 1, dark pink colour appears. When two drops of solution B are added to test tube 2, the colour turns to green. On addition of two drops of solution C to test tube 3, there is no change in colour. Why do you think these changes in colour happens?

Answer:

China Rose extract turns, acidic substances into magenta, pink or red, basic substances into yellow- greenish and doesn't changes its colour in nuetral substances.

therefore solution A is acidic

solution B is basic

and solution C is nuetral
