After the author grew up, the friendship between him and his grandmother was snapped. The grandmother was unhappy with the teachings in the city.So she accepted her seclusion with resignation.

She took to spinning on wheel, praying and telling her beads and feeding the sparrows in the afternoon. When she fed bread pieces to the sparrows, they used to sit around her.She felt happy by their act.She spent her whole day sitting at the spinning wheel.
