According to the question,
x-3=4(y-3)
x-3=4y-12
x-4y+9=0
x=4y-9
And, x+5=2(y+5)
x+5=2y+10
x-2y=5
4y-9-2y=5
2y=14
y=7
x=4y-9=4(7)-9=28-9=19
Therefore, Atul's present age= 19 yrs. and Parul's present age= 7 yrs.
