Atul's age=y+5

According to question

y-3=4(x-3)

y-3=4x-12

y-4x+9=0.....(1)

y+5=2(x+5)

y+5=2x+10

y-2x-5=0......(2)

from(1),y=4x-9

Put y in (2)

4x-9-2x-5=0

2x-14

2x=14

x=7

y=19

Parul's age=7 years

Atul's age=19 years
