990*11
990 \times 11 =10890

aja5: discount is 10890
aja5: as on 11 couple ticket we get discount for 11 children....
shrutigoel: but the options are:1) 17.71 percent

2) 32.30 percent

3) 26.47 percent

4) 25.77 percent
aja5: 10890/61490 *100
aja5: convert it in to percentage
aja5: total ammount 23*2200+11*990=61490...and discount is 11*990=10890
aja5: so option a is answer 17.71
aja5: is it clear or not
shrutigoel: yeah, I get it. Thank you
aja5: welcome

Answer:

Discount the group gets is Rs 10890.

Step-by-step explanation:

As given

Ticket for an adult is Rs 2200 and a child is Rs 990.

One child goes free with two adults.

If a group has 23 adults and 11 children .

(As there are 23 adults in the groups thus all the 11 childrens are ticket is not requried.)

Thus

Discount group gets = Number of childrens in the group × Ticket cost for a child .

                                  = 990 × 11

                                  = Rs 10890

Therefore the discount the group gets is Rs 10890.
