the moon is comparatively smaller than the sun so it should have less gravity attraction from the water of the earth but in case it is near to the earth than the sun so the gravitational pull of the Moon over the water is better than the sun

{Hello}

The alternate rising and falling of the sea usually twice in each lunar day at a particular place, due to the attraction of the moon and sun are called tides

Thank you
