Google is giving search results as "wait".
In my Eng.Lang assessment, I have written "wait", but our english teacher has cut off 1 mark , saying that the correct answer would be " waits"!
How is this possible?

actually wait and waits are the same meaning,I think therefore wait can be an exact answer
