we know that every number is at a difference of 5 minutes
it is between 3 and 4 so we get an apparent position of the hour hand
now we can take the minute hand
clockwise and anticlockwise from the position of the hour hand
at position one it is clear that the time has not yet been 3
so we take position 2
and hence our ans will be
3:37 or 3:38 pm
