The conversations are as follows:
Interviewer: Hello Anjana! Seems like you have gone on an unexpected adventure on the island. How do you feel about it?
Anjana: Hahahaha! Yes, I am pretty excited to get back to normal life after two years. It was a great feeling of adventure and thrill to live on an island and sustaining for years without external support is an even greater task.
Interviewer: Wow! that's great. So how did you survive there?
Anjana: In my opinion, an island is not a very complex geographical area to live but one should have greater endurance to face anything at any time. Since it is a place where organisms coexist, we need to be alert every time and be awake to check for the attack of any ferocious animals. Moreover, apart from being away from my family and friends, the island experience was quite peaceful and even mind-blowing.
Interviewer: That's quite impressive to hear that from what you said. What did you do for water? Were you able to find fresh water to drink?
Anjana: Yeah! that's a great question. In my initial days of survival, I found it very difficult to search and locate freshwater ponds. After a week or so I spotted a freshwater stream which was in the west direction of where I stayed. That was a complete source for me to drink.
Interviewer: How about food?
Anjana: Mostly I fed on fish as it was very easily available to me at that time. But the greater task for me to eat fish was to catch the fish and set things on fire. It was a very tedious task for me to do so. Other than that I fed on fruits and small berries which tasted so good on the island.
Interviewer: It feels like a real adventure from your answer. What did you do for clothing?
Anjana: Luckily, I was lost with my baggage full of clothes which was a helping hand during my survival. But again I had a problem washing my clothes. I simply washed my clothes with the help of soap nuts, a natural cleanser for washing.
Interviewer: Lastly, in conclusion, how did you spend your two years on the island? How was your experience?
Anjana: Speaking about how I spent is a question to be answered, On the whole, the 2 years taught me a lot in life on how to lead a life with nature and harmony, with no technology and no connection with the busy world. I found more ways to use nature and nature-driven products for survival and I have planned to continue the same at home. I have planned to start an eco-friendly club in my locality and I also have a plan to educate people on how to coexist.
Interviewer: Oh that's marvelous! I will also join your club for sure to create a better world. Thanks a lot for attending this interview
Anjana: Thank you!
