TiO2 is the chemical formula for naturally occurring titanium oxide.

Titanium oxide is widely used in the skin care and cosmetic industry due to high reflective index. Moreover, it possess strong UV light absorbing capabilities, and strong resistance to discoloration under ultraviolet light. This helps protect the skin against ultraviolet rays.

The pigment of TiO2 is also used in plastics and sometimes in the construction industry due to its high UV resistant properties.
