Hi there!

It’s so nice to hear that you’re seriously looking to prepare for JEE 2022.

There are so many ways that you can follow to start your preparation at home. The beautiful part is that you would be in a very strong position after this lockdown, compared to your fellow students, if you utilise this time period optimally. Here are some tips that might help you.

1. NCERT (books) are Most Important: Books of NCERT would always be the most important ones, for JEE. A thorough study of these books is the first step. You should not be compromising on this, at any cost. Most students underestimate NCERT (books) and start concentrating on reference books. Remember, that the books that are prescribed for JEE are of NCERT. You can download them (in PDF format) from the official website of CBSE. Start reading this first. Concentrate on the syllabus of class 11th, first. Don't run after reference books follow the one which been advised by your teacher.

2. Work on your concepts: Devote most of your time in understanding the concepts. A lesson/chapter maybe easy or difficult; try grasping its concepts in detail. The pattern of the question paper, or the level of questions might change, but the concepts remain the same.

3. Doubt clearance: Do not stay with doubts in your mind. One small doubt can instigate a thousand more. Please reach out to your teachers to resolve your doubts. DO NOT DELAY ON THEM! Try reaching out to your teachers to clear the doubts.

4. Make a comfortable routine: I keep telling this to kids to try not making a fancy time table; rather, a comfortable one. YOU know yourself better. So plan a routine according to your strength. I would suggest you to please be topic-specific rather than time-specific. Make a schedule which targets topics, and not time. Time management shall happen effortlessly once you learn the topics wisely.

5. Start attempting MCQs: Start writing a test related to a topic once you're done with the topic thoroughly. Again, do not focus a lot on your timing at an early stage, but keep practising and attempting the tests to increase your speed. You can purchase a book named 'NCERT at your fingertips' where you can get MCQs related to NCERT (books). I am refraining myself from suggesting you so many reference books at start.

6. Find a Trustworthy Coaching institute: Coaching Institute plays a very important role in JEE and NEET. But finding a best one is a difficult task. A good set of teachers will ease your path and help you out to crack it. you can refer classes like career launcher or any other old reputed classes which provide you the freedom of asking the doubts during the class(Live Class) and post class as well. Do not compromise with doubt solving facility.

6. Be determined: This step (of JEE) of yours would certainly prove to be the most important one in your life, so do not, at all, take it casually! Please put your heart and soul into serious preparation, once you've made up your mind for it. Adopt a qualitative approach instead of a quantitative one, for your studies. Be disciplined. Follow your own routine, without fail.

7. Do relax: Studying all day long would certainly not help you, either. Do please perform your hobbies or interest too, apart from your preparation, like singing, dancing, painting, as per your interest. Manage some time for these activities as well. It would make you more energetic.

I wish you All the very best for your new journey
