Dude your answer is here At the time, it was one of the largest and most opulent ships in the world. It was also considered unsinkable, due to a series of compartment doors that could be closed if the bow was breached. However, four days into its maiden voyage in 1912, the Titanicstruck an iceberg, and less than three hours later it sank.

It is clear from the fact that on its first maiden voyage there were somewhat 2250 person boarded on the ship with 3 different class tickets even the luxury of lowest class was like today's 3 star hotels so you can guess it's grandeur. And for more details please read the Titanic book.
