Virat Kohli


Virat Kohli is a legendry and famous Indian cricketer who has done exceptionally well in international cricket. Currently he is captain of Indian cricket team. Born on November 5, 2018, in Delhi, he made his presence felt to the Indian Cricket Selectors pretty early. He was the captain of Indian U-19 cricket team that won the world cup in 2008 in Malaysia.  

With each passing year he emerged as one of the most reliable batsmen in the history of Indian cricket. He hold many world records in all formats of the game. He holds the record of scoring the fastest 10,000 runs in just 205 innings in test matches. He is the sole batsman who has average above 50 in all formats of the game. Recently he became the first Asian Captain to have won matches in England, Australia, and South Africa.  

He has received many awards such as ICC Cricketer of the Year 2017, Wisden Leading Cricketer in 2016, 2017, Arjuna Award in 2013, Padma Shri 2017, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna in 2018.


He became more famous when he married famous Bollywood celebrity, Anushka Sharma. He is one of the most successful cricketer in India and has a huge fan-following.

VIRAT KOHLI

Mr Virat Kohli is a source of inspiration for every living soul in India. He has also got international fame due to his excellence in Cricket. He had made 62 centuries in the year 2018 .



Kohli was born on 5 November 1988 in Punjab. His father Mr Prem Kohli was a civil lawyer and his mother Mrs Saroj Kohli was a housewife. His nickname is 'Chickoo'.


He used to study at "Vishal Bharati Public School" and received coaching in Cricket at "West Delhi Cricket Academy" when he was around nine years. Apart from cricket he was very good at academics.

According to Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar was his biggest inspiration. Kohli started playing cricket at the age of 3 years. He used to hold the ball and the his father used to ball for him. He was appointed as the vice-captain of the ODI team in 2012.



After that, he became the captain in Mahendra Singh Dhoni's absence. He was also given the Test captaincy after Mahendra Singh Dhoni retired in 2014.


Kohli has received many awards like 'Man of the Match' awards in Test Cricket; 'Man of the Match' awards in ODI Cricket; 'Man of the Series' awards; 'Man of the Match' awards in T20 cricket, and many more.


He has received Padma Shri(2017), ICC ODI Team of the Year, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy(2018) and many more. Apart from cricket and career life, he has married Anushka Sharma popular Bollywood actress. Populary known as Virusha.
