It is a question of relative velocity , relative velocity is defined as the velocity of an object B in the rest frame of another object A.

Velocity of train with respect to car (Vₜ꜀)=10√3 ĵ m/s
Velocity of train with respect to ground.(Vₜ)= ? m/s
Velocity of car with respect to ground (V꜀= 10 î m/s

Velocity of train with respect to ground.(Vₜ)= ? m/s

Vₜ꜀ = Vₜ - V꜀
10√3 ĵ = Vₜ - 10 î
Vₜ = √ 10√3 )² + 10 ² )
Vₜ = 20 m/s
direction = 10√3 ĵ - 10 î
north - west

hence answer is (d)20m/s, northwest
