Given:

To conduct an experiment it is required to decrease the temperature from 35c at the rate of 5 c per hour.

To find:

What will be the temperature 9 hours after the process ?

Solution:

The initial temperature is 35 °C

From given, we have, temperature decreases at the rate of 5 c per hour.

After 1 hour the temperature becomes (35 - 5) = 30 °C

After 2 hour the temperature becomes (30 - 5) = 25 °C

After 3 hour the temperature becomes (35 - 5) = 20 °C

After 4 hour the temperature becomes (20 - 5) = 15 °C

After 5 hour the temperature becomes (15 - 5) = 10 °C

After 6 hour the temperature becomes (10 - 5) = 5 °C

After 7 hour the temperature becomes (5 - 5) = 0 °C

After 8 hour the temperature becomes (0 - 5) = -5 °C

After 9 hour the temperature becomes (-5 - 5) = -10 °C
