To fill a tank, 25 buckets of water is required.  How many buckets of water will be required to fill the same tank if the capacity of bucket is reduced to two-fifth of its present ?

no of buckets required to fill a tank is 25,

let capacity of bucket is 20litres,

then,total quantity of tank will be 20*25=500litres,

if the capacity of bucket is reduced to 2/5th of present,

then capacity of bucket will be (2/5)*20=8litres,

then no of buckets to fill the same tank is 500/8=62.5
