it is 0 because the boiling point remains the same

The outcome of the experiment conducted by A, B and C will be:

  1. The temperature at which any liquid boils and turns into vapor i.e. changes its state at atmospheric pressure is called the boiling point of that liquid.
  2. Latent heat is the energy released or absorbed by a substance during a change in its physical phase that occurs without changing its temperature.
  3. Boiling point in all three cases with A,B and C will be same.
  4. It is due to the reason that boiling point of water is always 100°C.When it reaches it boiling point, even when more heat is applied to the water, even then no increase in temperature will be seen due to 'latent heat'.
  5. The three students will have found the same boiling point of water i.e. 100°C or 373K.
