to find the mass of an atom we use the equation:
mass number =no of protone =no of neutrone
but actually there are three sub particale in atom electrone ,nuetrone and protone
so why we add only prtone and nuetrone to find mass number

Answer:

The mass of an atom is only due to its nucleus. In nucleus there are protons and neutrons. Hence the mass of atom is due to protons and neutrons
