Answer:

x-3= 0

x= 3

p(x) = 2xsquare +x + k

p(3) = 2×3×3+3+k = 0

18+3+k= 0

21+k=0

k= -21

hope it helps....

f(x)=2x²+x+k

g(x)=x-3

__________

x-3 )2x² + x + k( 2x +7

2x² - 6x

———————

7x + k

7x - 21

—————

k + 21

Since (x-3) is a factor of f(x)

therefore, k + 21= 0

k= -21
