To lead a happy married life there must be trust between husband and wife. Why did Lavinia decide to leave her husband and why did she later on change her decision ?

In the shady plot, john hallock takes the help of a ghost named helen to write a ghost story. Lavinia finds her husband talking with someone when she reaches home from shopping. she felt that he is having an affair with some lady, when the ouija board party was arranged he had to play with a flirty women and lavinia feels more jealous. when all the ouija boards started spelling traitor pointing out john she decided to leave him. but when she came to know about helen she felt happy that he was speaking with a ghost not areal woman. she lacked trust on john as the situations moulded her to believe that he was having an affair. but from the bottom of her heart she always loved john.
