Answer:

Answer:

Sugar = 400 gm

Water = 600 gm

Explanation:

we need to make :

one kilogram of 40% sugar solution by mass

=> Total Solutio  = 1 kg

& It has 40 % sugar

=> Sugar = (40/100) 1kg = 0.4 kg  = 400 gm

Water = Total - Sugar = 1kg - 0.4 kg = 0.6 kg

=> Water = 600 gm

Sugar = 400 gm

Water = 600 gm
