Answer:

The required code = 042

Step-by-step explanation:

S1 = 682 : one number in the right place

S2 = 614 : one number is right,but in wrong place

S3 = 206 : two number is right,but in wrong place

S4 = 738 : no right numbers

S5 = 780 : one number is right,but in wrong place

From S1 and S2, we can say 6 can not be the correct number as both statement contradicts.

Now from S3, 2 and 0 are correct, thus from S1, we can say 2 is correct and should be at third place which is supported by S4

Now from S5, we can say 0 is correct(as 7 and 8 are not correct anyways, from S4) and its wrong placed too(as we already know 2 should be at third position).

And from S3, 0 is wrong placed in S3, so 0 should be at 1st position.

And from S2, 1 or 4 were the possibility, but it can’t be 1 since, it says it is wrongly placed but also as we already know the numbers for 1st and 3rd positions, so the 2nd number should be 4.

Thus our final code should be: 042
