The current situation is characterized by numerous shortcomings that inhibit optimal decision-making for disaster management. The inability to access information and the lack of standardization, coordination, and communication are all obstacles that a disaster information network (DIN) could overcome. It is recommended that the Global Disaster Information Network (GDIN) Transition Team move ahead in planning for a disaster information network, taking into account the following conclusions from the present study:

  • Our building named Ashok Society, Kolkata  was investigated and searched after earthquake. The disaster took place at 2:00 A.M monday, 24 th August 2019.
  • People experienced severe jurky motions at repeated intervals although the sesmic waves were not so profound. The investigation and survey was also performed on the nearby building people notice some jurky movements but the intensity was not that much profound.
  • A building committee was called as the reason for this was rectified. The design of the building was considered faulty for this, along with foundation failure, and extraordinary loads were also held responsible for this condition. The building was considered unsafe for earthquake or any kind of disaster and the residence were asked to leave.
