1) The president of India is the head of state and the commander-in-chief of the Indian Armed Forces whilst the elected prime minister acts as the head of the executive, and is responsible for running the Union government.

4) What is the procedure for impeachment of the President? Ans. According to Article 61 of the Constitution, when a President is to be impeached for violation of the Constitution, the charge shall be preferred by either House of Parliament.
5) The first is when the President resigns his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Vice-President and the second when the President is removed from office by impeachment for violation of the constitution.
6) The president may also be removed before the expiry of the term through impeachment for violating the Constitution of India by the Parliament of India.
