Garbage has become a very common and
alarming problem in our cities. People are
unaware of the fact that the level of garbage
is increasing day by day due to our daily
activities.
India is one of the country which is
producing piles of garbage. The reason
behind this issue is growing
urbanisation,change in lifestyle,lack of waste
management,lack of efficient government
plans.
Garbage comprises of organic,domestic,
agricultural,industrial and inorganic wastes
like paper,plastics, leftover fruits,foods,
vegetables,glass containers,iron
cans,wooden objects,faecal matter of
animals like cow dunk,hen,pig etc, industrial
effulents.
These wastes create unhealthy environment
with lots of vectors like flies, mosquitoes,
houseflies spreading diaseses and bad
rotten smell.
Nowadays,garbage is present in every
corner of the city.During rainy season it get
mixed with the water bodies.
However,we can take several steps
towards waste disposal and management of
the things thrown in garbage.The waste can
also be refused by recycling of various
objects in garbage.We can reuse many
objects in the garages.Composting and
vermiculite can be carried out in rural areas.
It prevents pollution caused by rotting of
garbage.
If the waste management is done properly
by the government,the environment can be
protected from pollution.
