okay sorry i had this poem when i was in 10th, so umm.. forgot the exact answer but ice symbolizes hatred & insensitivity in the poem. You may sum it up. ^_^

Ice’, according to the poet, represents ‘hatred’ and this ‘hatred’ is sufficient to destroy the whole world as it fills life on earth with poison.
