Question

to separate water from dye in ink,we use evaporation....we put ink in watch glass above the beaker containing water,so why we dont put ink directly in beaker????

While separating dye in ink we put ink in glass watch above the beaker because if we put ink directly in the beacker then ink will be in direct contack to heat so that it with be burnt and turn black....
