Answer:

Let, x²= y

Then, y²-14y+45=0

y²-9y-5y+45= 0

y(y-9)-5(y-9) = 0

(y-9) (y-5) = 0

Now putting the value of y= x², we get

(x²-9) ( x²-5) = 0

{(x)²- (3)²} {(x)²-(√5)²}=0

(x-3)(x+3) (x-√5)(x+√5) = 0

Answer:

x^4 - 14x^2 + 45 = 0

x^4 - 9x - 5x + 45 = 0

x(x - 9) -5(x - 9) = 0

(x - 9) (x - 5) = 0

from 1

x - 9 = 0

x = 0+9

x = 9

from 2

x - 5 = 0

x =0+5

x= 5

Therefore, x = 9 and 5
