one trouser = 1.30m

Total cloth = 25m

No of trousers = 25÷ 1.3 = 19

Cloth left = 30cm    (25.00 - 24.7 =0 .30m)

To answer this question we need to convert them to same units.

1m = 100 cm

Total length available = 25 × 100 = 2500 cm

The length required for a trouser = 1 × 100 + 30 = 130 cm

The number of trousers that can be stitched = total length / length per trouser

This equals :

2500/130 = 19.23

since we cannot have a fraction of a trouser we take the whole part.

Therefore we can make 19 trousers.
