to stitch a shirt 2 metre 15 centimetre cloth is needed out of 40 metre cloth how many shirts can be stitched and how much cloth will remain​

Answer:

total cloth = 40 m = 40 * 100 = 4,000 cm

cloth needed for one shirt = 2 m 15 cm

= 2 * 100 + 15 cm = 200 cm + 15 cm

= 215 cm

shirts can be stitched = total cloth / cloth for one shirt

= 4,000 cm / 215 cm = 18

cloth remain = remainder = 26 cm
