Given :

  • To stich a trouser we need = 1m 25cm of cloth
  • Total cloth length = 10m

To find : Number of trousers that can be made from the available length of cloth.

Solution :

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process.

Now,

A trouser needs a cloth of length = 1m 25cm = 100cm + 25cm = 125 cm

[Term of unit conversion : 1m = 100cm]

Total length of available cloth = 10m = 1000 cm

[Term of unit conversion : 1m = 100cm]

Now, number of trousers that can be made :

= Total length ÷ Length of cloth required to make a trouser

= 1000 ÷ 125

= 8

(This will be considered as the final result.)

Hence, 8 trousers can be made.
