Nikhita,you are right. But who cares that some didn't have good foundation.Foundation is important,an engineer or a doctor is not actually made after class 12.A real doctor or engineer starts working his/her brain in the respective field when he/she is just at class 5 or 6.
Students should not be forced to study but the interest in studies should be inculcated. If so students will try to understand what they are studying and they will put that into use

the way information is provided inculcates interest. We would rather watch national geographic than reading our science textbooks that provide the same information.

there is too much cramming system to earn best scores but some schools are also there where is no cramming . but according to Indian methology people only want to achieve top grade they don't want to be second as parents always force. according to the parents no one take care about second person like we don't know who is second women who went on moon
