Bats belongs to the class Mammal although they have feathers... it is so, because bats possess some characters which are similar to the animal belongs to class Mammal.. for example bats have hairs all over their body, nd they give birth to their young ones instead of laying eggs.

Bats belong to the order Chiroptera, which is second only to order Rodentia (the rodent order) in number of species. If bats and rodents were classified together, they would make up about half of all mammal species! Chiroptera alone includes some 1,200 different types of bats.
